Modernizing the Inspection Process

A training initiative of the Louisiana Office of State Fire Marshal & Pelican Chapter, ABC
We encourage employees of member companies who have direct contact with and whose projects require inspections by the Louisiana Office of State Fire Marshal (OSFM) to attend a Modernizing the Inspection Process class at ABC.

This training initiative is a continuation of combined efforts among the OSFM and Pelican Chapter, ABC to foster working relationships with the construction industry and offer a platform to stay up-to-date on fire regulations. The goal of this program is to allow ‘credentialed’ contractor personnel to perform self inspections on many facets of the project thereby expediting the contract/project completion.

ABC Member Testimonials

"When the 15 to 20 Fire Marshal Officers entered the room it was a little intimidating (even though I had not done anything wrong!) but it was also impressive and made a statement as to the level of professionalism in the State Fire Marshal's office.  Once the program began and the attending officers started asking questions and discussing past experiences I found their experiences to be very helpful for a couple of reasons.  First, because I learned more about codes and regulations, and second because it helped me see how inspecting officers and plan reviewers look at projects and potential issues. I look forward to attending the next two classes."
