Southwest Member Mixer By: Katherine Fremin The Pelican Chapter hosted a record-breaking networking event with 485 members and non-members in attendance at the “Southwest Does it Best” Member Mixer on Thursday, Sept. 3, 2015, at the Golden Nugget Hotel & Casino in Lake Charles, La. The Pelican Chapter’s Southwest Louisiana Programs & Events Committee went above and beyond to tie in the already beautiful Grand Ballroom to the construction theme. Attendees eagerly visited the sponsor tables to receive a hole punch from each of the sponsors in order to enter the drawing for the generously donated door prizes from the sponsors. The Pelican Chapter recognizes Fluor Enterprises, Inc., Stine Lumber, LLC, TrueBlue, Inc. and Tolunay-Wong Engineers, Inc. for their support in making the mixer a huge success, and a special thanks to everyone who attended the wonderful networking event.
